The company blamed rising programming costs as well as higher-than-normal inflation across its suppliers for the price increases.

Customers of both groups are likely to see their bills increase in January of next year. Depending on the package they pay for, most of the satellite customers will see their monthly costs increase between $1 and 10.

ZIP code will be used to determine regional sports network costs. Some customers could see a monthly increase of $2 more per month, while others will see a decrease, and some will not see a change at all when the new pricing goes into effect. Customers can check their ZIP on the site to see their monthly fee.

The majority of Stream packages will see a price hike. Depending on the plan, price increases will vary from $4 to $10 a month. Even if they were grandfathered in, the changes will affect many users.

The company said in notices to its customers that it would raise prices despite its efforts to absorb some of the costs.
