Microsoft is emailing out 50,000 Microsoft Store gift cards for the holiday season

Microsoft may have left some information in your spam folder and in your inbox. A few people noticed gift coupons for Microsoft Store appearing in their email earlier this week. Microsoft has since confirmed that it has sent out 50,000 codes to US customers.
A Microsoft spokesperson:

Microsoft Store surprised over 50,000 U.S. customers by sending them virtual gift cards via email to spread holiday cheer. A $100 Microsoft Gift Card will be given to 25,000 customers, while another 25,000 will receive a $10 Microsoft Gift Card in advance of the holiday season. These randomly selected recipients will be able to redeem their gift cards on Microsoft Store until December 31, 2021, and can use it within 90 days.

If you were not randomly chosen, you are in good company. We didn't win anything either. It's worth checking your email account for Skype or Xbox Live. Even if you don’t need anything from Microsoft Store, someone on the list will appreciate a new headset or mouse.
