After a long dispute between AT&T and Dish Network over licensing terms for HBO channels, Dish reached an agreement to provide HBO, HBO Max and Cinemax.Dish TV customers will be able access both Cinemax and HBO today. However, they will need to subscribe HBO Max to receive linear HBO. Dish will offer a 10-day free preview of its premium networks to existing customers. This will take place from August 6th through August 15. The preview is free and customers don't have to sign up to receive it.If you sign up before October 27, users interested in HBO Max can get a $12 per-month subscription. This includes a one-year free subscription. The cost of the service is $15 per month with no ads or $10 per monthly if you don't mind seeing ads on non HBO titles. Cinemax will be $10 more per month, and will include the 5-Star Max or More Max channels.WarnerMedia will be releasing all its 2021 films on the service. They'll premiere the day after they hit theaters. Its ad-supported tier does not include day-and date releases such as Dune, The Matrix 4 and The Suicide Squad. HBO Max subscribers will get HBO, HBO Family, HBO Latino and HBO Signature.HBO Latino, HBO West and HBO East can all be accessed via satellite dish. HBO Signature, HBO Family and HBO on-demand will require an internet-connected Wally or Hopper receiver. HBO Max can be accessed on all major streaming devices as well as via connected streaming devices.This deal ends a long-running dispute between AT&T & Dish over distribution terms. However, it also comes as HBO Max and all streamers for this matter look to increase their subscriber base. Scott Miller, WarnerMedia's EVP of business, and legal affairs, stated that the launch of HBO Max and its sister network on Dish is a significant addition to our platform distribution strategy.
