This is good news for Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines customers. These airlines will be returning to Heathrow Terminal 3 as traffic appears to be increasing.Terminal 3 is your home!Although Terminal 3 was closed for more than a year due to the pandemic, it appears that Heathrow is able to reopen the terminal to outbound travelers.Operation will begin at Terminal 3 on the 15th of July.Virgin Atlantic destinations such as Antigua and Barbados, Grenada, Israel, and Israel are all listed as Green on Governments' travel list. This means that customers do not have to self-isolate on their return. Delta operates nonstop flights between Heathrow, Atlanta, and New York-JFK. However, U.S. restrictions on non-essential travelers from the U.K. remain in effect. All customers will be treated at the Virgin Atlantic dedicated area within the terminal. This area offers flexible check-in options as well as warm hospitality. Virgin Atlantic Upper Class, Flying Club Gold and Deltas eligible customers will once again have access to the award-winning Clubhouse and Revivals lounges as well as the Upper Class Wing. The Clubhouse (the lounge), will reopen with complimentary a-la-carte menus that include smaller dishes, tapas, and meats and cheeses from deli. You can also enjoy a wide range of wine, cocktails, and soft drinks in the Clubhouse's many relaxation areas, including the library, restaurant, and outside on the roof terrace for plane spotting.Customers now have many options for how they want to order food and drink. Customers can place orders online via a QR code placed at their seats. Customers can order from the app and have their entire menu delivered right to their seats. Customers can still order from the Clubhouses waiter and use the single-use printed menu.Get QuotesCorneel Kster, Chief Customer Officer and Operating Officer, commented. We are thrilled to be back on home soil, and our teams cannot wait to welcome customers to Terminal 3. As they return to the skies with Virgin Atlantic, they will do so in style. While it is a positive step that our customers will soon be able to enjoy our beloved facilities, the US Government still needs recognition as a Green destination. Travel between the UK and US remains closed. However, 23 million people are able to travel each day for their economic value. We call on the UK Government and the Biden Administration to remove the 212F proclamation to UK travelers.Nadia Clinton, Deltas Regional Manager of Sales, stated:Our customers will be able to return to Terminal 3 to enjoy the same award-winning experience that they had during the pandemic. We are confident that customers will be able to travel between the two countries safely, given current vaccination rates. The risk of transmitting disease on an aircraft traveling between the UK & US was 1 in 1,000,000 according to a recent Mayo Clinic study. This is despite the fact that the planes have strong air filters and mandated masks. We ask the US and UK governments to allow non-essential travel. Before you goTerminal 3 is now open for inbound and export traffic. It may be time for airlines to move on from other Terminals.
