Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), today presented the main product and service features for its Premium Economy Class and launched sales of the new class of travel. The new premium Economy Class will be added to the existing Economy, First and Business Class cabins of SWISS.We are pleased to announce our Premium Economy Class. This class meets our customers' growing demands for more privacy, comfort, and individuality. We are further strengthening our premium position in the expanding leisure travel segment by introducing this new class of travel.From the fourth quarter this year, the new Premium Economy Class will be gradually installed on SWISS 12 Boeing 777-353ER aircraft. All SWISS Boeing 777-3000ER aircraft will be equipped with the Premium Economy Class cabin at the beginning of the summer 2022 schedules. This new class will be available on flights to and from North American destinations, including Los Angeles Zurich, that resumed Friday, July 2. The new Premium Economy Class's one-way fare will be approximately 270 to 385 USD more than the Economy Class equivalent. This is in line with market pricing.A new seat design for more privacy and inflight comfort24 premium economy class seats from ZIM will be fitted to each SWISS Boeing 777-3300ER. It is very comfortable and easy to recline. The seat is also integrated into a fixed-backshell, which prevents any intrusion into the personal space behind. The new Economy Class seat is also wider than the 43.4 cm.The seat pitch has been increased from Economy Class's 78.7 cm [31in] to 99 cm, which means that there is significantly more legroom.
