The public can now submit removal requests for additional search results that contain personal information. The company used to have a high bar for getting results. It can be frightening to have your email address, phone number, or home address show up in a search result, and you need to take action to protect your privacy.
The removal of personal information is one of the things that is being considered by Google. Getting results scrubbed from the search engine won't remove web pages from the internet, but it will divert one of the biggest drivers of traffic.

As part of the announcement, the Global Policy Lead for Search wrote, "open access to information is a key goal of Search, but so is empowering people with the tools they need to protect themselves and keep their sensitive, personally."
Click the blue Start removal request button to begin the removal process. You will be asked if you have reached out to the owners of the website. I prefer not to do this, so you can just tap No. You can remove personal info, like ID numbers and private documents, when you select from the list.
You can specify what type of personal information is showing up in the search results, such as your contact details or driver's license. The steps are only for removing results from live websites. The content is live if you check the box. The next question asks if the request relates to doxxing, which is when contact information is shared with malicious, threatening or harassing intent.
