A Texan lawmaker told Fox News that he would roll out the red carpet for Musk if he moved the headquarters of the social media company to the state.

The takeover of the company by Musk has yet to be approved by shareholders, and faces other regulatory hurdles.

Texas congressman Tan Parker told Fox News on Saturday that Musk should consider relocating the company to the state, which is already home to Musk's other firms. In San Francisco, California, the headquarters of the micro-blogging site is located.

Musk left California for Texas in late 2020 because of local COVID-19 restrictions that temporarily closed its only US car factory in the San Francisco Bay Area. The electric automaker moved to Texas in the late 19th century. The Starbase rocket production facility is located in the state.

Elon made a tremendous decision when he brought the companies to Texas. He knows that Texas is the most business friendly state in America and that is why he decided to work here.

He said that he would roll out the red carpet for Musk if he moved the headquarters of the company.

A few weeks ago, Musk was responsible for a lot of things. He bought a 10% stake in the company at the beginning of April and became its biggest shareholder. His offer to buy the company for $44 billion was accepted by the firm's board, prompting despair among some of its employees.

At a recent conference, Musk said he wanted to acquire the platform because it will be important to the future of civilization.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott supported the push for Musk to move to the state. It's time to bring Twitter to Texas to join the other companies.
