The Phoenix Suns were fined $25,000 by the NBA for failing to disclose the injury status of Booker during their first-round win over New Orleans.

Booker injured his right leg in the first half of the second game of the series against New Orleans.

The All-Star guard was out of the lineup for nine days before returning for Game 6.

Booker scored 13 points on 5-for-12 shooting (1-for-6 from 3) in his return and added five rebound and three assists in the win.

Suns coach Monty Williams said after practice Saturday that he thought Booker was fine, despite the fact that he had a strained hamstring.

He hadn't played in over a week, so that probably had a lot to do with it, but in the second half I saw more of an effort to just play. We needed it.

The league has placed a greater priority on teams following the injury report protocol, as player status information is paramount to the integrity of wagers being placed on the games.

The first game of the conference semifinals will be played on Monday between Phoenix and Dallas.
