Musk seems pretty proud of his company.

Musk showed off a bunch of the new engines at the Starbase facility in Texas, where they will be used on the first flight of the company's Starship megarocket later this year.

TheRaptor 2 rocket engines at Starbase each produce over half a million pounds of force, Musk wrote in the post. Musk's photo showed a lot of the new rocket engines, but his fans saw something else: evil Daleks from Doctor Who.

It was only a matter of time before he started building Daleks, according to Richard Nellis, who wrote the term after Musk's photo post.

Daleks have been created by Elon. Simon wrote that the creator of the Dalek warriors, who reside inside machines, do bear some resemblance to a rocket engine nozzle.

There is a look at Doctor Who's Daleks. Do you think the Raptor 2 engines are the same?

The race of evil warriors that cry "Exterminate!" as they take over the world has not been created by Musk. The Raptor 2 will be the workhorse engine for the spaceships.

The Super Heavy booster will be powered by 33 engines, while the Starship vehicle will use nine engines of its own. The Raptor 2 is designed to be re-useable, as are the Super Heavy vehicles.

Liquid methane and liquid oxygen are new fuels for the Raptor 2. Liquid oxygen and rocket-grade kerosene are used in the engines of the Falcon 9 rockets.

Raptor 2 is the result of several years of development by the company. It has a simpler design than the first version of the Raptor.

The V1 kind of looks like a Christmas tree spaghetti pile. Musk said in a Feb. 10 update that V2 is greatly simplified while also increasing thrust.

The resemblance of the Raptor 2 to Doctor Who may have been due to the work that was done to streamline it. Some Who fans were surprised that Musk hadn't targeted a different Who villain.
