Workers at an Amazon warehouse in Staten Island voted in favor of unionizing late last month, and the results of a unionization vote at another Staten Island facility is expected Monday. The first Starbucks store to support unionization was in Buffalo, New York, according to the Post. Starbucks stores around the country are going to have votes. Labor leaders hope that the effort at Amazon and the push from Starbucks workers to organize will lead to a resurgence of union membership in the American workforce.
