A member of the U.K. Parliament resigned in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation on Saturday after admitting that he had viewed pornography on his phone for the first time.

Neil Parish was suspended by his party after female colleagues said they saw him watching porn in the House of Commons.

Parish was facing an investigation from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards that could have resulted in a suspension or expulsion.

Parish was an Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2009 and has been an Member of the House of Commons since 2010.

Parish said he was not proud of what he was doing and that he watched porn on two occasions in the House of Commons.
