People who recently spoke to the tech mogul told the WSJ that he was dismayed that Donald Trump was still barred from the social networking site.

Since the board of directors of the company accepted the offer from the CEO of both companies to buy it, banned individuals have asked when they would get their accounts back.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump said he wouldn't be returning to the social networking site. He would join his own social network.

He said that he hoped that Elon would buy Twitter, but that he would stay on TRUTH.

The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to the social network.

In January 2021, Trump was banned from the platform after a mob of his supporters tried to stop the certification of the 2020 election. He had violated the rules against inciting violence and spreading false information about the disease many times.

The former president and Musk have both written controversial messages on the platform.

Musk believes he can fix Twitter and dubbed himself a "free speech absolutist", but he has previously threatened to fire employees for disagreeing with him.

The Insider reached out to the office but did not get a response.

Trump told Fox News that the response on TRUTH is better than being on TWITTER, and that they are taking in millions of people.

He said: "We are doing everything we can to get rid of the fake accounts."
