Brian Laundrie and his family went on vacation together while knowing the location of Petito, according to the amended lawsuit.

According to the amended suit, the three traveled to a nature attraction in Florida a few days before the disappearance of the woman, causing questions about her wellbeing from her mother and father.

The amended lawsuit said that they went on vacation knowing that Brian Laundrie had murdered Gabrielle Petito and that her parents were trying to find her.

The father and mother of the victim in the case were told by the Florida district court judge that their initial filing against the Laundries was deficient.

Civil court revisions are not unusual. The suit was dismissed by the Laundries.

The allegations in the amended complaint do not give rise to liability under the law, according to Steven Bertolino, an attorney for the Laundrie family.

Brian Laundrie, the boyfriend of murdered woman Gabby Petito, was discovered in a alligator-infested reserve not far from his Florida home.

Christopher Laundrie and Roberta Laundrie have consistently denied that they helped Brian Laundrie flee as he was sought as a person of interest.

There is time to submit evidence, but the amended suit doesn't offer much support for the vacation claim.

A jury trial is scheduled to start in August of 2023.

The underlying allegations in the initial lawsuit were called baseless andfrivolous by Bertolino in March.

According to the latest filing, Laundrie tried to hide the death of Petito by sending a text on her phone that used the name of the victim's grandfather. According to the suit, it can be assumed that he told his parents that he had killed Petito.

According to the amended complaint, the text was sent on August 27. The text referred to Petito's grandfather as Stan.

The body of Laundrie was found in a nature preserve not far from his home. The medical examiner in Florida said he died from a gunshot wound.

The couple set off on a cross-country tour of national parks in July of 2021.

Petito's family said she was last heard from in late August near Jackson, Wyoming, which is next to the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

The last text sent by Petito was on August 24. According to the suit, Laundrie killed her by hitting her on the head and neck with an unknown instrument.

After returning to Florida in August, Brian Laundrie is believed to have flown back to the state on Sept. 1 from Salt Lake City, Utah. Petito was reported missing.

The suit says that Brian Laundrie told his parents what he did, but that they didn't tell the woman's parents.
