No Time To Die was a movie that turned heads last year with its charismatic portrayal of a CIA agent named Paloma. In just a few minutes of screen time, de Armas stole the show as Paloma and more than held her own while fighting alongside Daniel Craig. She may be getting an action franchise of her own. The actress will star in Ballerina, a spinoff from the John Wick films.
She will play a young assassin who wants to avenge her family's murders. The groundwork for the spinoff was laid in John Wick: Chapter 3. John saw the order of ballerinas who were trained to become killers.
Previous roles include Blade Runner 2049, Knives Out, The Informer, and The Night Clerk. The Marilyn Monroe biopic, Blonde, and The Gray Man, as well as Ghosted for Apple TV+, are upcoming streaming films.
The script for Ballerina was written by Shay Hatten. The film will be produced by Chad Stahelski. This summer, production will begin.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is on track to arrive in theaters on March 24, 2023. The Continental is a three-part miniseries that will be a prequel to the franchise.
