The Los Angeles Lakers are looking for a new head coach, and Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder is on their radar.

The Lakers have an interest in Snyder after firing Frank Vogel, according to an NBA insider.

It is not certain that he will be back with the Jazz after another first-round playoff exit this season.

The head coach of the Jazz for the past eight seasons, he has a 372-264 record with six playoff appearances.

The Jazz have made it to the playoffs in six of the past seven campaigns, but they have not made it past the semifinals.

Utah was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks in six games despite Dallas being without Luka Doncic for the first three games of the series.

It was the end of a disappointing season for the Jazz, who were expected to make a deeper run with a roster that included Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson.

All of the aforementioned players are under contract for next season, but a shake-up could be forthcoming because of a lack of playoff success. That could include a coaching change.

The Lakers would be the most attractive landing spot for Snyder because of the presence of James and Davis.

The Lakers have fallen short of expectations because of injuries to James and Davis.

The Lakers had a first-round playoff exit last season and failed to reach the playoffs this season with a disappointing 33-49 record.

Changes to the roster prior to the 2022-23 season could be difficult with James, Davis and Russell taking up a lot of the Lakers salary cap.

The biggest change L.A. can make is a coaching change, and that is already guaranteed to happen after Vogel was let go.

It is likely that the Lakers will have tons of interested candidates to sift through, but given the fact that he has taken a team to the playoffs in six consecutive seasons, he will be of particular interest.
