The new affidavits were insufficient to reverse the ruling of the New York State Judge who found Trump in contempt and imposed a $10,000 per day fine.

In his affidavit, Trump said that he did not have any of the documents requested in his personal possession.

In the filing, he wrote that he was not satisfied with the level of detail in Trump's affidavit, and that there was no evidence that he did a thorough search for the records.

Trump's lawyer argued last week that Trump didn't have the documents and that the fine was excessive.

James argued that Trump did not comply with her subpoena to hand over tax records and other documents despite a March 31 deadline.

The Trump Organization and Trump's office did not respond to a request for comment from Forbes.

James requested the documents as part of her long-running civil probe into the Trump Organization's business practices, which has centered on whether Trump overvalued his assets to secure loans, while undervaluing them to save on his tax bill. James wrote in a court filing last month that the Trump Organization misstated asset valuations for over a decade, and that she has found evidence that Trump manipulated some valuations to get tax breaks or more favorable lending terms.
