The news that the Eagles will be getting A.J. Brown from theTitans is priceless. There is a time and a place.

The team realized it would be hard to get an extension done when it decided to send A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brown said that getting traded to the Eagles wasn't his doing, even though coach Mike Vrabel said the team went to the extreme to try and keep him.

The deal they offered was a low one, according to Brown. The deal they offered was less than $20 million a year.

According to Brown, theTitans offer was worth $16 million per season with incentives that would have made it a $20 million average. Brown was entering the final year of his contract, which would have paid him around $4 million in 2022.

In 13 games last season, Brown had 63 catches for 869 yards and five touchdown. The research shows that Brown accounted for 23% of the receiving yards last season.

Tennessee finished with a 12-5 record but had an 11-2 record when Brown suited up. In his first two seasons, Brown hauled in over 1,000 receiving yards and 70 catches, and in 2020 he hauled in a career-best 11 touchdown catches.

Over his first three seasons in the league, Brown has accumulated 24 touchdown and 16.2 yards per reception, which is eighth and third, respectively.

Brown wanted to be paid accordingly after establishing himself as one of the top players on the team. After seeing the increase in wide receiver contracts during the free-agency period, Brown didn't want to report to the off-season activities.

The Eagles had an opportunity to get Brown and team him with Hurts, who was heavily involved in recruiting Brown to Alabama before he chose to stay in-state and play for Ole Miss.

Robinson said that they started working on the trade over the last 20 hours.

Brown agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract with the Eagles. The average of $25 million per year is the fourth highest in the league, behind Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins and Tyreek Hill.

The 18th pick in the trade was selected by Tennessee. He could play opposite Robert Woods.

Similar body types and ability to get yards after the catch have drawn comparisons to Brown. Brown averaged 9 yards per reception as a rookies. The catch average for Burks was seventh in the country last year.
