The teenager pleaded not guilty to killing his mother. David Allan Ohlson is being held without bond in the Escambia County Jail. His life fell apart about three weeks ago when his parents separated, and he believed his mother had lost her temper for him. He thought she was cold toward him when they argued after she got home. Ohlson said he retrieved the shotgun from a safe in the house and put it in his car with the intention of killing his mother's friend. Ohlson said he couldn't go through with it and he didn't even leave the driveway, so he brought the gun back to the house and pointed it at his mother and himself. David Allan Ohlson made a statement that he had no right to shoot his mother, according to the report. On the day after her death, her husband posted a number of pictures of his family and himself on his social media accounts, including a picture of himself with her. Adriana is my forever and ever. He said they were blessed with the birth of their son, David, in 2003 and how tenuous her pregnancy was when she was sick for five months. I was told by the doctors to be prepared to lose one or the other, and I thought that was bad enough. For the next 18 years, Ohlson said, they both focused on David and their family and that it was all work, really little play, and all work because we both understood to get anywhere in life.
