Disney Plus will have some really out-of-this-world sci-fi content in May. We have a list of the best sci-fi and TV shows on Disney Plus, so you can pick what you want to watch.

Disney Plus has something for everyone, from Star Wars toFuturama, and it's hundreds of hours of content for space nerds to enjoy.

May is going to be one of the best months of the year for Disney Plus because of the long-awaited Obi-Wan-Kenobi series. The series finale of KnightMoon will be available to watch and there are other hit shows like The Book of Boba Fett. There will be new additions to the Disney Plus line-up this month. Disney Plus has an awesome space and sci-fi line-up to keep you entertained.

It doesn't matter if you're a Star Wars fan, a fan of sci-fi, or just looking for something cool to watch, the streaming platform has plenty of great content. Star Wars

1) 'Star Wars' original trilogy

There is no attempt. Disney Plus is home to one of the biggest franchises in cinematic history, and it began in 1977. The beginning of a cinematic dynasty.

The Empire Strikes Back is considered to be the best film in the franchise's history, as it features the first meeting between Master Yoda andluke.

This epic trilogy ends in the battle of Endor, as the Emperor and Darth Vader try to convince Luke to join the Rebellion and the rest of the rebels defeat the Empire.

2) 'Star Wars' prequel trilogy

The Phantom Menace stars Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor and Samuel L Jackson, and the film is best known for the villain, Darth Maul.

Attack of the Clones gives viewers their first look at a grown up Anakin as a Jedi. It is best known for its love story between Anakin and Padme Amidala and the battle of Geonosis, which sees a host of Jedi fighting side by side against a wave of droids.

Revenge of the Sith is the best of the three films and it ends the trilogy. The film ends with a fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin.

3) 'Star Wars' sequel trilogy

The epic tale of what happens after the events of the original trilogy is told in this trilogy. The First Order rise to power despite the Empire's defeat in the civil war and features the first female lead in a Star Wars movie.

The first film in this trilogy, The Force Awakens, is the first since Disney bought Lucasfilms. It was a hit with most fans, who enjoyed seeing a whole host of new characters introduced to the franchise, as well as the return of some old favorites including Han Solo, Princess Leia and a shock cameo in the final scene.

The Rebellion continues its struggle against the First Order and questions are answered around Supreme Leader Snoke in Episodes VIII and IX. The trilogy comes to a thrilling end, and we learn of the path to the dark side of Kylo Ren, as well as a surprise return of the Emperor.

The story of how the Death Star plans were obtained by the rebels is one of the most frightening depictions of Darth Vader since the original trilogy. A New Hope begins with Vader boarding a rebel ship while R2 and C3PO escape with the plans.

The origin story of Han Solo is called "Solo: A Star Wars Story" and it shows how he met characters like Lando Calrissian for the first time.

5) 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'

The TV series is set between episodes III and IV and features the return of the famous Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The series will tell the story of Obi-Wan evading the Empire's Jedi hunters during his exile on Tatooine.

The first episode will be available to stream on May 27th, despite the original release date being May 25th to celebrate the theatrical release of A New Hope back in 1977. The first two episodes will be available on the same day, despite the release being pushed back two days.

6) 'The Mandalorian'

The hit series is set five years after the Return of the Jedi and tells the story of the Mandalorian, a bounty hunter and his sidekick Grogu. Mando is far from the new Republic in the outer reaches of the universe.

This TV series is a great way for fans to get their kick on, as it features a lot of action and adventure, plenty of sci-fi and plenty of comedy.

7) 'The Book of Boba Fett'

The Book of Boba Fett is a new addition to the Star Wars universe. The new series sees Boba Fett and Fennec Shand return to Tattooine to stake their claim on the territory that was once owned by Jabba the Hutt.

The last two episodes of the series are coming fresh in February. This new series has been a hit with fans and critics alike, and we think it is time to try Disney Plus.

8) 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'

The Clone is an animated series that is set in the time between Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

9) 'Star Wars: Rebels'

The story of the Empire tightening its grip on the galaxy as it hunts down the last of the Jedi is told in Star Wars: Rebels.

10) 'Star Wars: The Bad Batch'

The Bad Batch is a clone special unit that tries to find out why other clone troops opposed their Jedi generals.

11) Lego 'Star Wars'

Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales, whose five-episode season wrapped up Nov. 2, rushes joyfully through the events of the six movies through R2-D2's and C-3PO's eyes.

Movies

1) Marvel's "Avengers" 1-4

The first entry on this list, The Avenger's films, were all cinematic highlights of the 2010s, and each film is a coming together of all the best superheroes in the Marvel Comic Universe. Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow and THOR are featured in the first film. The following three movies include the likes of Spiderman, Black Panther, Vision and more as they bring the 11-year story to a conclusion.

Aliens from outer space threaten the fate of Earth and it is down to the Avenger to save the planet in these films. The theme of space and exoplanets is explored a lot in the films, and the main enemy of these films is known as the destroyer of worlds.

Even if comic book heroes aren't your thing, the films from the Marvel company have a great blend of sci-fi, action and comedy.

2) 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Volumes 1 and 2

These films have a great blend of space exploration, action, comedy and a good story to go with it, and are starring Chris Pratt as Star Lord. The era in which the main character, Star Lord, grew up has a large influence on the soundtrack of each film. 1 is a key film in the Marvel Comic Universe, as the story revolves around an Insturment stone that Thanos needs to collect in order to wipe out half of the universe.

There is a new edition of Vol. 2 goes to where Vol. is. There is more comedy, action and love between Gamora and Star Lord. In the second film, Star Lord learns who his father is and discovers that he is half-human and half-terrestrial.

3) 'Tron'

Kevin Flynn is kidnapped into a digital world in this 1980s sci-fi action/adventure film. Flynn interacts with programs and joins forces withTron to outmanoeuvre the Master Control Program in a massive computer game. It is also on Disney Plus.

4) 'Armageddon' 

A crew of unlikely heroes are called on to save the Earth from an asteroid in Armageddon (1998).

An epic 1998 sci-fi film called Armageddon sees a giant civilization-destruction asteroid hurtling towards Earth. The only way to stop it is to blow it up. This is not how we would tackle a killer asteroid, and the star- studded line-up includes Bruce and Ben, who play members of a team that are humanity's last hope.

5) 'Alita: Battle Angel'

Alita: Battle Angel is a story of a deactivated cyborg who gets reactivated but can't remember who she is or what happened in the past. Dr. Dyson Ido sees Alita as the key to ending death and destruction. She must fight and kill to fulfill her purpose.

6) 'X-Men' movies

The comic book-turned movie franchise is enjoyed by many all over the world. The films tell the story of a group of people who have powers, and their struggles against people who are afraid of them.

7)  'Independence Day'

In 1996, Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum starred in a sci-fi disaster movie, in which an invading alien species destroys major cities around the world. The Fourth of July is the world's Independence Day because we discovered the plans of the invading aliens just days before their attack.

8) 'Aliens'

The 1986 film is the second in the Alien franchise and is a classic in its own right. Sigourney Weaver reprises her role as Ellen Ripley in this sci-fi horror action-adventure epic. Ripley must protect a young girl who is the sole survivor of the nearly wiped out colony after she awakens from a hyper-sleep.

9) 'Avatar'

James Cameron made a modern classic called "Avatar". The movie tells the story of a paraplegic Marine who agrees to go undercover as a Na&vi in order to find a native alien. While undercover, Sully falls in love with one of the natives and decides to fight back against his colonel's attempts to drive out the Na'vi and mine the woodland for minerals and resources.

10) 'Wall-E'

A family-film entry to this list, Wall-E, is the story of an adorable robot whose primary job is to clear Earth of trash after humans have left the planet. Wall-E is alone on Earth before meeting EVE, a robot sent to Earth to prove it is a planet. The love story between the two robots is the main draw of the film.

11) 'Thor: Ragnarok'

It is a great mix of comedy, science fiction and action that is set just before the events of "Infinity War" and "Thor: Ragnarok". With multiple worlds featured in the film as well as an epic gladiator battle between the god of thunder and the Hulk, Thor must defeat the villain of the film, his half-sister Hela, while also stopping the destruction of his homeland, Asgard.

12. 'Free Guy'

Ryan Reynolds plays a bank teller with a fairly routine and normal life. He is a character in an open-world video game. Guy is determined to rewrite his life in a world that has no limits, save his computerized world from being erased and perhaps find a little romance along the way.

13. Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Frost Fight!

In this animated movie, the heroes of the universe come together to stop Ymir and Loki from stealing Santa Claus's powers, which they intend to use to rule the world.

1) 1 'Moon Knight'

Steven Grant is an employee of the gift shop who becomes plagued with blackouts and flashbacks of another life. Steven was thrust upon him by an Egyptian Moon God. Steven has powers that allow him to share his body with a Mercenary named Marc Spector, as the powers become both a blessing and a curse. Steven and his friend, Marc, investigate a deadly mystery among the Egyptian gods while their enemies converge on them.

2) 'X-Men' animated series

The story of the problems the X-men face at the hands of a human populace that resents their very existence and the evil of a few Mutants who want to make the world submit to their will is told in the animated series. The school for gifted children is a sanctuary for Mutants to learn to control their powers and to try and fit in, as well as being home to the X-Men.

The popular children's show "Phineas and Ferb" offers a cute Crossover where the title characters interact with Star Wars characters.

4) 'Futurama' 

The TV series Futurama will air in its entirety on the Syfy channel, starting Nov. 11.

The Matt Groening series is on Disney Plus. Fry, a delivery boy who was accidentally frozen for 1,000 years and was hired by Planet Express in the 31st century, is the focus of the comedy. Fry and his friends, including a robot and a one-eyed Mutant, get up to shenanigans all across the universe and in New New York.

5)  'Loki'

The title character of the series is the god of mischief. The series features lots of alien life, cool special effects and different world settings, and is set after the events of the movie, "Avengers: Endgame." Loki offers a great blend of science fiction, action and adventure with just the one series out at the moment.

Documentaries

1) 'Among The Stars'

The new documentary tells the story of the NASA mission to explore the furthest parts of our solar system. We will get a clearer picture of the ninth planet or dwarf planet, Pluto, with the help of the spacecraft.

4) 'Welcome to Earth'

Will Smith presents a docu-series that looks at the hidden worlds within us. It shows extreme ends of the planets, from active volcanos to deep ocean adventures.

5) 'Aliens of the Deep' 

Director/Producer James Cameron heads deep into the ocean during filming of Aliens of the Deep.

NASA scientists and marine biologists are trying to explore some of the deepest, most extreme and unexplored environments on Earth. The documentary takes a look at some of the life forms that live at the deep-sea hydrothermal vent sites. The environments on other worlds could be similar to the vents.

6) 'Expedition Mars: Spirit and Opportunity'
