  • The op-ed was released in time for the premiere of the movie.

  • Heard is being sued by her ex- husband.

  • The op-ed lied about him being abusive and she was actually abusive to him.

The general counsel of the American Civil Liberties Union said that the actress's op-ed in the Washington Post alluding to domestic abuse was timed with the release of the movie.

In the trial's opening statements earlier this month, Benjamin Chew argued that Heard's op-ed was false and unfairly characterized Mr. Depp as a man who would violently abuse women.

In a video deposition played in court Thursday, the general counsel of the American Civil Liberties Union testified that his organization helped the actress produce the piece ahead of theAquaman release. Heard played a superhero in a film.

The director of artist engagement at the civil liberty organization sent an email about the importance of getting Heard's op-ed published.

She wrote in the email that the goal was to get this out this week to take advantage of the campaign forAquaman.

The email was addressed in a video deposition.

The time is right to put out this op-ed because of the amount of press that will be given to Amber.

Heard took on a role as an ambassador for women's rights for the American Civil Liberties Union at the same time she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post. The lawyers from the American Civil Liberties Union worked on the op-ed.

After marrying in 2015, Johnny Depp and Heard have been divorced. The trial is being held to determine if Heard defamed him by describing herself as a victim of domestic violence in an op-ed. Heard is accused of publishing it to coincide with theAquaman release.

The actor in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" alleges that she was abusive towards him and is seeking $50 million in damages. In court documents, Heard says that she is seeking $100 million in damages from her ex-boyfriend, Johnny Depp, who she says abused her while he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Heard publicly announced she would give $3.5 million of the $7 million she received from her divorce settlement with Johnny Depp to the American Civil Liberties Union, but the organization received only $1.3 million in her name, according to testimony on Thursday. He said that half a million dollars came from an account belonging to Musk.
