Musk received a version of the jet with TFE731-5BR-1C engines. The jet was bought by Musk before he became a billionaire.

The jet was previously registered to other companies, including a multi-level marketing company. This shows that Musk bought a pre-owned jet. The registration for Musk's Falcon 900B is N900SX.
