William Barr, the former Attorney General, said this week that he thought the Republican Party would make a big mistake if it chose Donald Trump as its presidential nominee.

During an appearance on the Newsmax show on Thursday, Barr said that he thought Trump should not be on the GOP ticket.

It would be a mistake to put him forward as the Republican nominee.

Trump has not officially declared that he will be running for president in 2024, but he has dropped a lot of hints about it. He called himself the 45th and 47th president in a video filmed by a golfing buddy.

Lindsey Graham is one of the senior Republican lawmakers who has backed Trump. Graham said in February that Trump has a great chance of becoming president in 2024 and that the spot on the GOP ticket was his.

After a rocky stretch in the last months of the Trump administration, Barr and Trump have had a tense relationship.

In March, Barr released a book called "One Damn Thing After Another", in which he wrote that the election was not stolen.

During an interview with NBC in March, Barr said that Trump never had a good idea of what the Justice Department was supposed to do.

Trump responded to Barr's claims with a letter calling him slow and lethargic.

The letter kicked off a feud between the two, with Barr accusing the former president of throwing atantrum and Trump calling him childish.

On a separate NBC appearance, Barr said working with Trump was like wrestling with an alligator, and that the former president loved being.
