The Las Vegas version of the draft took place last year, but this year the stage was built in front of the Bellagio fountains and the main stage was built beside the Caesars Forum.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, who was expected to go first in the draft, was one of 21 top prospects who attended the event.

The New York Giants took an offensive tackle with the seventh pick and also took a defensive end with the fifth pick.

The Philadelphia Eagles traded the 18th pick and a third-round choice to the TennesseeTitans for AJ Brown.

The 25-year-old has been the top receiver in his first three years in the NFL but entering the final year of his rookies contract, both parties were struggling to agree on financial terms for a new deal.

The Eagles will give Brown a four-year deal worth $100m, while theTitans chose another receiver with the 18th pick.

The bear hugs for Roger Goodell were back, and the second pick of the first round, linebacker Devin Lloyd, stole the show after being chosen by Jacksonville.

Lloyd vowed to play another year at Utah rather than declaring for the 2021 draft, aiming to win a championship and become a first-round pick in 2022.

Lloyd celebrated by lifting the commissioner off the stage in Vegas after seeing his other dream come true, after the Utah team won the conference championship nine weeks after he was killed.
