  • An Ohio school board member is facing calls to resign after accidentally posting a link to a porn site on a public Facebook page.

  • Member Darbi Boddy advocated against sex education sources in Ohio schools.

  • The school board censured Boddy and called for her resignation.

An Ohio school board voted to censure a member and called for her resignation after she accidentally posted a link to a porn website in a public Facebook post.

On her public Facebook page, Darbi Boddy, a member of the school board, posted a response to the board's consideration of future curriculum reviews.

Boddy objected to the school district hiring a firm to review its curriculum without ensuring that the board and the company understood CRT. She objected to the sexual education topics that are already being taught in Ohio schools. She included links about masturbating, sex toys, anything taught besides abstinence, and other topics.

She intended to include a sex education site in one of the links, but they led to a pornographic site.

Boddy responded to the mistake with the correct link.

One of the pornographic sites that was put in my communication as part of my list of what to look for in our schools, was a mistake and although it was not meant to be part of my communication, it is still representative of the disgusting material that is being put in front of.

Boddy was censured by the school board in a 4-1 vote after an emergency meeting.

The body passed a motion demanding her immediate resignation. School boards in Ohio don't have the power to remove members from a panel.

The president of the school board said that posting pornographic content on an official, public-facing account that can be accessed by many of their own students is unacceptable.

O'Connor said that you exposed our community to inappropriate sexual content by raising awareness about what to keep out of our schools. We expect you to take responsibility for your conduct.

Boddy walked out in the middle of the meeting, saying that he wouldn't be part of the political ruse.

On Thursday, Boddy posted another statement on her Facebook, saying she is not going to apologize for putting these sites up and that she doesn't regret putting them up.

She wrote that a light needs to be shined on the material.

As of Thursday, more than 1,600 people had signed a petition calling for the censure of Boddy for her continued disrespect and aggression towards Miller.

According to the description of the petition, Mrs. Boddy's statements and behavior undermine the confidence in District leadership at the Board level. This behavior should not be allowed to continue. We want action to be taken to call this behavior out.

O'Connor and Boddy did not respond to Insider's request for comment.
