We are here to tell you all about the early footage from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 that was shown at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 is the official title of what we had been referring to as Mission: Impossible 7. The film will not be out for a long time, but it will be out on July 14, 2023. The reason? We think it will be attached to Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise's other big movie, though Paramount had not confirmed this as of publication.
The trailer was action-packed, with a very unique-looking key apparently playing a major role. There were action scenes on horses, on a submarine, on top of a train, and even a shot of a train flying off the side of a cliff. Cruise and Atwell are in a car chase on the streets of an old city in a tiny yellow car. All of which ends with Cruise on a motorcycle speeding off a cliff, letting go of that motorcycle, and gliding toward the ground as he pulls a parachute. Filmed from above. At CinemaCon 2021, Cruise and McQuarrie showed a bunch of footage of it.
The introduction for the footage was pre-taped and Cruise stood on top of an airplane. It was literally. McQuarrie told him they needed to get back to shooting Mission: Impossible 8. The three planes flew down after they banked hard left. Cruise is still standing on top of it.
The rest of its presentation was a little shorter than other studios because Paramount chose to show Top Gun: Maverick in its entirety. John Krasinski's If with Ryan Reynolds and A Quiet Place Day One are two upcoming films. Two big genre films, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, were included in a reel of footage from a few other movies.
