The Daily Mail reported that Stone was on the social networking site from 1 a.m. to 11 a.m. Gaining about 80 followers before being banned.
Stone told the Daily Beast that he posted a new account to prove a point. Attn: Musk.
The deal is set to close sometime this year, after the site accepted Musk's $44 billion takeover on Monday.
The billionaire said in a statement that he hopes to make the product better than ever by enhancing it with new features and advocating for absolute free speech.
Stone's account was permanently suspended for violating the rules of the micro-blogging site, according to The Daily Beast.
Stone was suspended from the social media site for targeting CNN reporters Jake Tapper and Don Lemon and New York Times columnist Charles Blow. The journalists reported on the investigation into Russia's interference in the election and Stone called it fake news.
The battle against free speech has begun, according to Stone.
Stone was sentenced to 40 months in prison for obstruction, five counts of false statements, and one count of witness tampering for his involvement in the 2016 election but Trump commuted his sentence.
Stone has said that Trump's Truth Social app, a Twitter alternative, censors his use of free speech as well.
Representatives for Stone did not respond to the request for comment.
