Paramount is betting big on Tom Cruise. At CinemaCon, Cruise was at the center of three upcoming films: Top Gun: Maverick, Mission:Impossible 7 and 8. The Hollywood Reporter states that Cruise appeared in a video message for the CinemaCon crowd that featured him flying an antique plane in South Africa while performing a stunt for the next Mission: Impossible film. The attendees were treated to the first screening of Top Gun: Maverick after Cruise thanked them for their support.
The new names for Cruise's other major franchise were announced as Mission: Impossible and Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two. The final installments of the series are still under wraps, but they could be. The first and second parts of Dead Reckoning will be shown in theaters on July 14, and June 28, respectively. There is a date in the year 2024.
The spinoff from A Quiet Place now has a proper name. It is called A Quiet Place: Day One, and it will take place on the day that aliens invaded Earth. Pig director Michael Sarnoski will helm the spinoff, while John Krasinski is still working on A Quiet Place Part III.
The first footage from the film was shown by Paramount. The film will feature Brad Pitt as silent film star John Gilbert, as well as actresses Clara Bow and Tobey Maguire as the legendary actor and filmmaker Charlie Chaplin. The film will explore the transition from the silent era to thetalkies.
The supporting cast for the film is amazing, including Flea, Eric Roberts, P.J. Byrne, and many more. The movie will open on December 25.
