Musk, the new owner of the social media site, has outdone himself with the latest meme he chose to blast out to his 80 million followers.
The stick figure-laden image he shared on Thursday isn't only completely void of humor, but the point it is trying to make is false in many ways.
Did we mention that it was stolen from the bottom shelf meme repository? It wouldn't be the first meme he stole.
According to this latest work of political theory, the left has drifted further to the political left since 2008, while the right has remained politically unchanged.

It's not a stretch to assume that Musk believes he's a centrist and that he's being pushed right of center by the left.
The meme fails to make any meaningful contribution to the discussion about political extremism in the US.
The idea that the right has remained the same since 2008 is laughable, given Trump's presidency, the January 6 insurrection, and the rise of right wing extremists.
It's more likely that both ends of the spectrum have become more ideological since 2008. The effect is the opposite of what Musk implied, with Republicans becoming much more conservative over time.
The meme was met with mockery.
The insurrection happened less than 16 months ago, according to the editor of The Daily Beast.
NBC senior reporter Ben Collins said that he was alive in 2008 and that he forgot about the Capitol storming by John McCain.
We seem to be seeing a new midlife-crisis inflected Musk, whose intentions appear to be pissing off as many people as he can, a task he equates with free speech.
He said on Wednesday that it must be politically neutral for it to deserve public trust.
Musk lashed out at the executives of the micro-messaging service this week, causing them to receive a wave of harassment and threats.
His end game is as murky as ever. Kara Swisher believes he is trying to get people to leave.
She argued that he would rather quit than pay them out.
As we have pointed out many times before, maybe we are already reading too much into it. Musk's posts often represent reactionary commentary meant to stoke the fire, rather than add anything substantive to the conversation.
It is one of the few things that bring him joy. The people at Twitter are not laughing.
Musk's deal on social media may already be falling apart.
