The NBA fined the Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler $15,000 each for making an obscene gesture in the closing seconds of their first-round playoff game against the Atlanta Hawks.
In the second quarter, after a personal 10-0 run by Heat guard Max Strus, Butler stood on the sideline and made a thrusting motion with his hips to celebrate. The video of the gesture was posted by the Heat.
The second best scorer in the league this season was out of Game 5 because of inflammation in his knee.
The winner of the Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors series will face the Miami Heat in the second round.
