The American Civil Liberties Union is accusing Heard of giving less than half of her pledge to charity, though she still has a few years to fulfill that promise. The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union will each get a portion of the $7 million settlement that she gave to charity after her divorce from Johnny Depp. In the defamation trial against Heard, the non-profit received only a small amount of donations in her name. The American Civil Liberties Union only received $350k from Amber and a $100k check from Depp. The other payments were from a donor-advised fund at Fidelity and a donor-advised fund at Vanguard. Get this. The $500k payment is thought to have been from a fund set up by Musk, who was in a relationship with amber. The last year the ACLU got a donation from Heard was the year that the email from Elon said amber would donate $3.5 million over 10 years. They say she held back from releasing her op-ed until the movie was released to get more publicity. It is just another juicy revelation in a trial full of them. In a deposition played in court, the man who smoked from a vape pen while driving recalled the time he thought someone was breaking into their home when the dog scratched at the door. The jury laughed as the video was shown in court, and the judge called it a first in her time on the bench.
