Barcelona will move out of their home for the next two decades.

The renovation of the Spanish club will start in June after receiving a permit from the city council.

The Olympic Stadium in Montjuic will be their new home for the next two seasons.

Barcelona will return home in 25 years with 50% capacity and work will be finished in 26.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta said that demolition would have meant having to play the 2022-23 season with just 50% of capacity.

We will demolish the third tier when we go to Montjuic because we want to minimize risks and protect next season's income.

The Olympic Stadium in Montjuic, which hosted the 1992 Olympics and was the former home of city rivals Espanyol, is being worked on by Barcelona and their city council.
