According to court documents, Masvidal is accused of attacking Colby and causing him to suffer a brain injury.

Masvidal, one of the UFC's most popular fighters, pleaded not guilty to two felony charges in Miami. Masvidal is accused of attacking someone in Miami Beach, Florida. The court stayed away from Masvidal on Thursday. He can't come within 25 feet of the city.

Masvidal struck Covington with a deadly weapon, his hands or fists, and caused a brain injury, according to the count. Masvidal is accused of causing more than $1,000 in damage to a watch.

Masvidal is out of custody. He was arrested a day before he made bail. May 12 is the next court date for Masvidal.

The legal team for Masvidal indicated during the hearing that they will likely file a motion to inspect the damage to the watch.

Before they became hated rivals, Masvidal and Covington were roommates and training partners at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida.

According to an incident report obtained by the Miami Beach Police Department, Masvidal punched a man twice in the face outside a restaurant in Miami Beach. The man had a broken tooth and $15,000 damage to his watch.

The victim of the alleged attack has been identified in court documents as the person who initially did not appear in law enforcement documents. Masvidal said in a video that you have to back it up after the alleged attack. That is how my city rolls, man.

According to the incident report, Masvidal told Covington that he shouldn't have been talking about his kids. Masvidal didn't like the trash talking about his family.

Masvidal was defeated by Covington in a unanimous decision at UFC 272. Masvidal made it clear in the postfight news conference that he would fight Covington if he saw him in the Miami area.

Masvidal grew up fighting in the streets of Miami and got his start in pro fighting in backyard scraps with the likes of Kimbo Slice. His representatives said at the time that he was one of the highest-paid fighters on the roster after signing a new contract with the UFC. Masvidal won the BMF belt at Madison Square Garden. Masvidal was a two-time UFC title challenger.

Kamaru Usman has been challenged twice by Covington. He is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. Over the past three years, Masvidal and Covington have had a dispute over jealousy and what Masvidal says was a coach who was stiffed.
