Plus-size passenger stirs debate after blaming Ryanair for struggling to fit in seat

A plus-size woman shares her experience on a flight.

A plus-size traveller is not a fan of TikTok because of the size of its seats, bathroom and aisle.

She said she couldn't fit down the plane's narrow aisle and couldn't use the tray table because of a lack of space.

In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, Leanne shared her experience with her followers.

The first issue I faced was walking down the plane aisle, I was one of the last people on the plane as I was running a little late so I felt the stares of people and all I could think was that they didn't want me. She said that the empty seat gave her a little more room.

Finding out what seat I have been assigned at random. It's doable for 1.5 flight with little leg room.

She asked for seatbelt extenders.

The tray table was a big fat no.

She didn't use the bathroom because she didn't want to get stuck on the toilet.

I didn't use the bathroom in the end and waited until I got to the airport.

The video, which she captioned "Flying Ryanair with no upgrades", has been viewed more than 1.2 million times and has racked up over 93,000 likes, but users are divided on the issue.

One user said that acting like it was their fault.

Another person wrote that this should be a massive wake up call.

There is only one person to blame, argued one person.

One person defended the plus-size blogger, writing: "What is everyone's problem?" She shows her struggle with travel and how people in the same position can make it work.

The user asked why the comments were so rude.

People acting like being plus size is a choice and something to be ashamed of.

A few months ago, she was told to buy two seats for herself due to her body size.

She talks about travelling as a plus size person and says the experience is less comfortable for larger people on her travel blog.
