New images of 3D-printed mockups, likely based on relatively accurate dimensions for the upcoming iPhone 14 lineup, have offered a close look at the design changes Apple is planning for the 2022.

The larger camera systems on the back will be a feature of the ‌iPhone 14. Images shared today by Mac Otakara offer a clearer look at that design change by trying to put physical mockups in cases and see if they fit.

The 6.7-inch iPhone 14 and the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max will be the same size, as shown in the image below. The dual-lens camera system on non-Pro models is smaller than the triple-lens Pro camera system, so the camerabump on the new non-Pro will be significantly smaller than seen on Apple's.

The smaller 6.1-inch and 14 Pro models don't fit in with the corresponding 13 and 13 Pro cases. Images show that the camera bumps cause fit issues, as they are significantly larger on the 14 and 14 Pro. The device sizes are slightly larger as the phones cannot be squeezed into the cases.

The 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max is the highest-end model in the ‌iPhone 14‌ lineup. The larger camera bumps prevent an exact fit with the existing case.

Mac Otakara looked at how screen protectors fit the corresponding models and they suggested that some models may have different display angles.

The layout of the front camera and sensors on the Pro models were not determined by Mac Otakara as the mockups did not include those details. There are rumors that the Pro models will have a pill and hole-punch layout.

There are two lower-end 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch sizes and two higher-end Pro models of the same size that are rumored to be in the ‌iPhone 14's lineup. For a full rundown of everything we're expecting with this year's new phone, click here.
