On Wednesday, Musk said that he would like to purchase Coca-Cola and put cocaine in it.

Less than an hour after he said that he would make the company fun, Musk posted a new post.

Musk's comments about Coca-Cola are likely tongue-in-cheek, but they bear some historical truth.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse states that cocaine was legal in 1885 when it was first made.

The cocaine extract was obtained from coca leaves. The drink was described as patent medicine and brain tonic and intellectual beverage.

cocaine was initially included in the drink but was eliminated by the 1900s, as reported in a 1988 New York Times article.

Representatives for The Coca-Cola Company did not respond to a request for comment.

Lauren Boebert took a jab at Hunter Biden, who has been documented drug use, by asking if he had been asking for favors.

Many of the platform's users have suggested to Musk what companies he should buy next, since his acquisition of Twitter.

Musk responded to a user who wrote that he should buy Fox and get another season of Firefly.

Musk replied with a laugh-crying emoji, after a user wrote that Musk should buy the History Channel and make it about history.
