The Milwaukee Bucks advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs with a 116-100 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday after losing forward Khris Middleton to a knee injury.

The Celtics will play the Bucks in the second round.

Milwaukee dominated over Chicago after splitting the first two games. The Bulls were held to under 100 points in three of the five games and the final three games by double digits.

In the series finale, Antetokounmpo scored 33 points on 11-of-15 shooting and added nine rebound.

The Bulls were without two of their best players for Wednesday's game, and the Bucks were able to key in defensively on DeMar DeRozan, who was limited to 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting.

In the past three seasons, the most doubles of a single player in a playoff game have been recorded in Game 5 of the playoffs. In the previous four games, he faced 24 double-teams.

The defensive intensity was turned up by the Bucks to make up for the absence of Middleton, who injured his knee in the fourth quarter of the first game.

The team's initial plan was for him to be reexamined in two weeks, which puts his availability for the start of the second round in jeopardy.
