According to sources, Phoenix Suns All-Star guard Devin Booker is progressing on a return soon, possibly for Game 6 on Thursday or a potential Game 7 on Saturday in the franchise's Western Conference first-round playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Booker has made progress with his strained right hamstring in recent days, and there is a good chance he will return in the coming days, sources said.

Sources said that the expectation was that Booker would return in a few minutes.

The Suns are expected to list Booker as out on their injury report on Wednesday, but that could be changed in the hours leading up to Thursday's Game 6 to reflect Booker's possible progress.

Suns coach Monty Williams said after a light practice Wednesday in New Orleans that there was no change to the status of the injured player. If it was an elimination game situation. I am sure that would have an impact on it.

Booker was in a light shooting session.

The Suns regained a 3-2 lead in the series after Booker missed three games due to a strained right hamstring.
