The first movie in the series came out in 2009, and went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time. James Cameron hasn't been in a hurry to get people to see the movie again. The wait is almost over. At CinemaCon today, the first footage from the sequel was unveiled, and with it came a new title: The Way of Water.

Fans who weren't in attendance at CinemaCon will have to wait until Friday, May 6 to see the first trailer for the movie, which will be attached to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It is a very slick move by Disney to pair the trailer with a movie. Attendees at CinemaCon were impressed by the early footage of Jake and his family on Pandora, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Above and below the waves, the ocean was the primary focus. The video offered a glimpse ofwhale-like creatures, which were flying from the first film.

The producer told the crowd that the audience needs to be able to see the movie in theaters.
