G.G. Jackson, one of the top players in the 2023 class, announced his commitment to North Carolina on Wednesday.

Jackson chose the Tar Heels over a number of other programs that tried to get into the mix recently. The change in coaching at South Carolina last month made North Carolina the heavy favorite. The Tar Heels had long been a factor in Jackson's recruitment, but after Duke's string of 2023 commitments and the firing of Frank Martin, they had all the momentum over the last month.

Jackson said over the weekend that they want him the most. They have shown up to all my games. It was shocking when they came down and visited me at the school before the Final Four. That shows the dedication that they put into their recruiting.

Four of North Carolina's five starting players are going to return to Chapel Hill next season, after the Tar Heels made a run to the national championship game as an 8-seed. The Tar Heels are projected to be the preseason top team in the country.

People slept on them. Jackson said last weekend that they kind of woke everyone up.

Jackson is a 6-foot-9 forward from Ridge View High School. Through eight games this season, he has put up 13.3 points and 9.6 rebound on the Nike EYBL circuit. He was named the South Carolina's Player of the Year after he averaged 22.1 points and 10.9 rebound during his junior high season.

Jackson is a developing athletic forward who utilizes his elite speed to sprint rim-to-rim and displays impressive lateral quickness at his size. His scoring comes from his natural talent, strong frame and soft touch inside. He is outstanding in the low- and mid-post, simply by making contact with his defender. He uses a basic drop-step or jump-hook, and his hands are trustworthy as a lob-catcher or to finish drop-off passes.

Jackson was rumored to enroll in college next fall and reclassify into the class of 2022, which was 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 800-313-5780 He said he will stay in 2023.

Jackson said that they were looking at it at first. I wanted to stay in my class and prepare the best I can because I feel like I am not there yet.

Jackson is the second guard from North Carolina to commit to the class. Wilcher picked the Tar Heels.
