GG Jackson told a website that he has committed to North Carolina.

The South Carolina resident who attends Ridge View High School chose the Tar Heels over the other teams. He was considering entering the G League.

Jackson spoke glowingly about UNC after his visit in October.

Jackson told Rivals that it was the first time he had been in a college arena. I kept looking over my shoulder, but I didn't want to make it weird. I had to see how their players played and how I fit into the system. They get their big guys the ball a lot, they stretch out, and push it up the floor.

Jackson is the second-ranked power forward in the 2023 recruiting class. He is listed at 6 feet 9 inches and 215 pounds and has a frame that should continue filling out as he ages.

North Carolina had the 8th best recruiting class in the country in the year 2023. Jackson and Simeon Wilcher are both 5-star commits, so that ranking should get a boost.
