Smith said during a conversation with model Ireland Baldwin on the latest episode of Red Table Talk that it was rough.

She didn't understand my anxiety because she had seen her friends die. She had been through a lot and my issues felt smaller.

Pinkett Smith has spoken about her experiences with drug addiction and gun violence. When she was in middle and high school, the actress said, witnessing gun violence became the norm.

She said that she tries to tell people all the time that most of them grew up in war zones.

Smith, the daughter of Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, said that she and her mom had a conversation about anxiety.

Smith said that Pinkett Smith suppressed her anxiety for a long time, but came to the realization that she also experiences anxiety.

Smith said that she had no idea.

Pinkett Smith said that it took her a long time to understand Smith because she had a vastly different public lifestyle due to her famous family.

She said she didn't know what it was like to be a child under hot lights.

In dealing with her anxiety, I have had to look at some of my own behavior and behaviors of my mother, and I suppose I would have some anxiety in regards to how I grew up.

When Pinkett Smith told Smith that she experienced anxiety, that changed his life. You are my best friend, what can I say?
