Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, said Tuesday that the United States is out of the Pandemic phase.

Fauci cited the current low level of COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths nationwide, while still maintaining that the global situation is still evolving.

Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said during an interview on PBS NewsHour that the country is out of the Pandemic phase.

We don't have many new infections a day, tens of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths. We are at a low level.

According to CDC data, there have been more than 22% of the cases in the US in the last week.
