There are problems with that definition. The law in different countries is different.

It's difficult to know if a person is breaking the law in real time.

Did the storming of Capitol Hill cross the line into insurrection? Where does criticism become libel? Hate speech directed towards someone can become abuse or harassment.

I interviewed the chief executive of Gab in February. He is Donald Trump's former spokesman and now heads up a free speech alternative.

Gab has a lot of rules on what you can and can't say.

He said that he spends a lot of time on moderation policy and that it is probably what he gets the most inquiries about.

Mr Musk is going to have to spend a lot of time thinking about how to police the internet.

There are some significant structural problems with Twitter. The platform has never been very good at making money.

Mr Musk thinks he can turn that around. It will take time and effort.

Some are wondering if he can do that without hurting the other companies he runs.

Unless Musk invents a way to add hours to the day, there is only so much time he can devote to all of this.

In the next few months, I would imagine that he is going to be deeply in the weeds of social media. If you are an investor inTesla, you are probably a little nervous about that.

The deal could mean the sale of a stake in the car firm.

He has to stump up $21 billion in equity. It is not clear where the money is coming from.

The money is being raised by loans using Mr Musk's assets as security.

It means that a deal that is structured around the intrinsic value of the shares ofTesla could be in trouble.

Oanda senior market analyst Ed Moya said that if the share price continues to fall that it will jeopardize his financing.

Mr Musk is not the first person to start multiple companies. Apple and Pixar were founded by Steve Jobs. Jack was the chief executive of Block.

entrusting others to effectively run the businesses on your behalf is what running five companies means.

That rubs up against Mr Musk, who is a self-proclaimed "nano-manager".

He said last year that he didn't want to be the CEO of the company. I asked him why. He told me he did not want to be the CEO.

That may be true. He wants to be involved in the day to day running of these companies.

Mr Musk was working at Space X when the bid was accepted, according to his biographer. He went to a 10pm meeting about engine design.

He worked on valve leak solutions for more than an hour. No one mentioned the social networking site. He said that he can multi- task.

That Mr Musk can do multiple things is not a question. Will he be able to spin so many plates at the same time?
