Jerry Jones ribs son over past Cowboys' draft selection (0:23)

Jerry Jones made the room laugh when he said that he had made his decision and that his son Stephen was to blame for the selection of Taco Charlton. (0:23)

Since the day Jerry Jones purchased the Dallas Cowboys in 1989, many have believed he did what he wanted to do.

All of the personnel executives, like Jones' son Stephen, have been involved in the process of selecting players. There might have been some discrepancies over the years where Jones went against the grain, but there is also evidence on the other side.

Jones is willing to have fun with the narrative.

There is a lot of talk about who makes the call, who actually makes the call. My call was made by Parsons.

T.J. Watt is a daily reminder of what the Cowboys missed when they took Charlton. The Cowboys first pick last year was named the Defensive Freshman of the Year, a Pro Bowler and an All-Pro.

Jones admitted all that much for his part, but he didn't seem to mind that at all.
