The Utah Jazz announced on Tuesday that the injury to Mitchell was not as bad as first thought.

According to the Jazz, Mitchell has bilateral quadriceps contusions. According to sources, Mitchell will be available for Game 6 when the Jazz face elimination against the Dallas Mavericks.

Mitchell left the court late in the game after his leg tightened up. Mitchell expressed hope after the loss that he would play in the next game. His status will be updated Wednesday.

Mitchell said Monday night that he had to find a way.

The Jazz were down by 28 when Mitchell left.

Mitchell was held to nine points on 4-of-15 shooting. The Jazz were outclassed by 38 points. That is the worst plus-minus by a Jazz player in a playoff game since the stat started being tracked, according to research.

Mitchell is scoring 26.0 points per game, but he is shooting only 37.9% from the floor and 19.5% from the 3-point range.

Mitchell said that he gave credit to Dorian Finney-Smith, the primary defender on him. The looks I have been getting have not been easy. I am just trying to find a way.
