The Department of Homeland Security is attempting to make air travel easier for trans people.

The bill was first introduced on April 21, three weeks after the Department of Homeland Security announced its plans.

The proposed changes are part of a whole-of-government effort to promote equity and inclusion.

The Department of Homeland Security is working with airlines to better serve people with a gender-neutral scanning system, as well as less intrusive screenings for people who cause a security scare. The agency said that the new process wouldn't compromise security.

People who are trans have cited difficulties going through airport security. More than 40% of respondents to a report from the National Center for Transgender Equality said they experienced discrimination at the airport security checkpoint.

The measures were too far for Boebert and her Republican colleagues. She said the Biden Administration encouraged terrorists to take advantage of US airport security.

If you think the Biden regime is trying to remake America in its own image, look no further than the new trans screening policies of the TSA. They are inviting terrorists to take advantage of our weak security systems. The TSA has one job and this isn't it.

The bill by Boebert prohibits federal funds from being used to remove sex-based screening procedures from security screening.

The bill was referred to the Committee on Homeland Security on April 21 after being co-sponsored by Reps. Bishop, Good, Norman, Gaetz, Mast, Gohmert, Donalds, Jackson, Miller, Duncan, and Cline.
