A new feature that lets users pin specific posts to their profile above their photo grid is being explored by the company. The new feature is currently in the testing phase and is showing up for some users. The option to pin to your profile is available to users who have access to the feature.

A new feature that lets people feature posts on their profile is being tested by Meta.

The ability to pin a specific to your profile could be a welcome feature for users who want to highlight their favorite posts that may have been buried further down in their photo grid. The feature can be useful for creators who post frequently but want to highlight a specific post.

Currently, users can pin stories to their profile, but this new feature would allow them to post them. This new feature would make it much simpler to highlight a post in a story and then pin it to your profile. Pin to your profile is similar to the feature that allows you to pin a message to the top of your feed.

A reverse engineer spotted the feature back in January and it looks like it has been developed for a while.

The pinned posts test comes roughly a week after it was announced that it was removing the recent tab for some users as part of a small test. When you select a #, you are taken to a page where you can see the content that has been posted using that # in three categories: top, recent and reels. Some users will only be able to see the Reels and Top tabs. The change could be seen as a way to promote Reels, its TikTok rival, while also focusing on posts that are receiving the most engagement on the platform.

The new feature that is being tested will make it easier for users to discover and support social causes. You can now support certain social movements through new options when you search for specific hashtags. The company is rolling out a new feature that will allow it to select a certain number of popular hashtags.
