The company announced Monday that it has added a lock screen to the handheld gaming PC. The change makes it possible to set a PIN when you wake the device from sleep, which could make it harder for people to access it. After installing the update, you can turn on the lock screen and set a PIN in the settings menu.
There are a number of welcome changes in the update. The achievements page has gotten a refresh, and Valve says it is now easier to navigate.
You'll be able toggling between windows in a game by pressing the steam button, as the steam deck now supports games and apps with multiple windows.
The full patch notes can be found here. You can get the update going by pressing the steam button, selecting settings, and then system and then software updates.
