Emma Raducanu and Torben Beltz
Emma Raducanu confirmed Torben Beltz as her coach in November

After only five months, Emma has parted ways with her coach.

The 19-year-old US Open champion confirmed Beltz as her coach in November but believes a new training model is needed.

Iain Bates, the head of women's coaching at the LTA, will be in Madrid this week.

The world number 11 thanked the coach for his dedication and professionalism over the last half a year.

He has a huge heart and I have enjoyed our strong chemistry.

I feel the best direction for my development is to transition to a new training model with the LTA supporting in the interim.

German Beltz was the coach of former world number one Angelique Kerber when she won the Australian Open and US Open titles.

The British number one will have a fourth coach in a year.

After Wimbledon, Andrew Richardson was replaced by Nigel Sears, but his contract was not renewed despite his success in New York.

The clay court season began at the academy of Piatti in Liguria earlier this month.

The highly-respected Italian coach has worked with Ivan Ljubicic, Richard Gasquet and Milos Raonic and recently parted company with Jannik Sinner after guiding him through his teenage years and into the world's top 10.

In her first five professional matches on clay, she has won three of them, including one for Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup qualification in the Czech Republic.

She will be playing at a career-high ranking at the Madrid Open.
