Chobani has more than 20% of the U.S. yogurt market. The journey began in an old yogurt factory in upstate New York. CEO and founder Hamdi Ulukaya talks about how to be successful in business. He's done things his own way. He wrote a piece for HBR nine years ago in which he said he was proud of the fact that Chobani didn't have outside investors and that he could run the company as he saw fit. Chobani will have a lot of new investors and outside scrutiny now that he is on track for an IPO. He wanted to have the freedom and flexibility to make decisions quickly. Our growth is very good. There is still a long way to go. People coming and being partners and shareholders is something I celebrate. It is a perfect time for us to have others join.
The American Dream is defined by the tale of Chobani founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya.
